Spiritual Training Through Sunday School Is Needed!

Many of the orphans and villagers surrounding our Rescue Units live in rural bush settings where there are no churches or spiritual training available. Even though there are hundreds of children who are always present, the concept of working specifically with children is new.  Orphans are considered the lowest on the social scale and not much attention is given to them.

The roads and pathways are not accessible by most vehicles.

Two MSSM Circuit Rider Missionaries will use the Units as a base camp and following in the style of the old-fashioned horseback “circuit riders”, will travel by motorcycle to various locations to conduct Sunday Schools.

There will be 6 Sunday Schools in each circuit and the Circuit Rider Missionaries will conduct those in five days, and have one day off for preparation and one day for rest each week.  Our first Circuits began running in May of 2008 in the country of Zambia and in Malawi in October of 2008.  Future plans include Sunday schools in the countries of South Africa, Sri Lanka, Cameroon and possibly at many of our other bases.

The MSSM Circuit Rider Missionaries will have four primary goals.

  • Teach Sunday School classes and help others learn of God’s love.
  • Establish a Bible Memory Quiz Team. The top finalists will go to a TMI Boot Camp as a prize.
  • Hold literacy classes for both children and adults.
  • Train local adults in teaching of Sunday school classes.
