Dear Christian Union Circuit Sponsors,
We are so grateful for your faithful support of this ministry that continues to change lives for the sake of eternity. Enjoy your monthly report.
BLESSINGS MEMORIAL SUNDAY SCHOOL
The average attendance has been 70 kids. They are so excited with Sunday school and are faithful in coming each week. The favorite verse this month was, “Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.” Romans 12:17. The children are striving to take this message to heart and put into daily practice. We had four children accept Christ as Savior this month and that was an encouragement. We are now having two adults come to the Teacher Training Course, continue to pray that more adults will get involved.
MT. ZION MISSION SS/ BOB UHRIG PAVILION
We have an average attendance of 80 kids and some weeks it is up to 100. People in the area are becoming more and more interested in the Sunday school. There are about 5 adults who attend the Teacher Training which is a beginning. The rains have been heavy so we are grateful for the children who come even in these rains to hear about Jesus. The favorite lesson at this Sunday school was about being honest and their favorite thing to do is to colour.
ZACHARY OLMSTEAD MEMORIAL SUNDAY SCHOOL
It has been slow but we are seeing progress in the attendance here we are now having about 30 each week. Parents are getting used to us being in the village and are seeing that the Lessons are helping their children and since they are mostly Muslims they are very happy with the Literacy Classes. They love playing the game, “find a friend” and colouring is always a highlight. We have no adults interested in the Teacher’s Training so continue to pray.
FAIRVIEW FAVOR SS/ T.K. HOUSE OF HOPE PAVILION
We are having an average attendance of 50 each week at this Sunday school. We ask that you pray for protection for the kids coming back and forth to Sunday school especially during these rainy months. The pathways can sometimes be quite dangerous. The kids favorite game is “hot potato”which we play with a balled up T-shirt or ball. We are having 10 adults each week in the Teacher’s Training Course and we are excited that these people have a burden to want to teach children about God’s love. The favorite verse this month was Luke 10:27 which talks about loving God with all your heart, soul and strength.
BERNARD & DORIS CLYMER SUNDAY SCHOOL
Many in this area are in the bondage of sin. We are praying that Sunday school will make a big difference in the lives of the entire village. We are having an average attendance of 55 and as of yet no adults have been coming either for the Sunday school or for the Teacher’s Training Course. The children love the lessons and especially love to colour. They memorize their weekly Bible verse so well and are excited each week to quote the old one and receive the new one.
HOLLIS RICHER MEMORIAL SS/GRACE BIBLE PAVILION
The average attendance for this Sunday school has been 50. The favorite verse this month was Luke 10:27 about loving God with everything we have. The children were challenged to love God in all they would do for the rest of the month. The favorite game this month was, “pass the ball with your neck”.
We are having about 7 faithful adults in the Teacher’s Training course. Pray that they will continue to be faithful in coming each week and keep their desire to learn. The roads into this village were good despite the rains and we are very grateful to the Lord for keeping us safe up to this day.
HOUSE OF PEACE RESCUE UNIT SUNDAY SCHOOL
We are praying for the salvation of Mrs. Tchezo. She likes her granddaughter coming to Sunday school but she doesn’t come. She is a part of Nyau (animistic belief system) and needs Christ in her life. It is an encouragement to us when the young children go around and recruit others to attend Sunday school. Shemlo Bitonie who is 12 goes around and invites many to come. The son of the group village headman is in attendance each week he just accepted Christ as his savior. The Literacy classes are going very well and the teachers are saying they are seeing great improvement in their studies. We are so grateful that Sunday school is making such a difference.
Thank you again.
Be Blessed,
Mrs. Linda Maher
