FAQ ANSWERS

1. Doctrinal Statement

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible and authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in the three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood and His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His tangible return in power and glory.
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of the body of the saved and lost — they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ.

This doctrinal statement is taken from the doctrine statement of Youth For Christ and consistent with evangelical, interdenominational organizations. Teen Missions is a member of Evangelical Press Association, Youth Evangelism Association, Christian Camping Intl., and the Cocoa Beach Chamber of Commerce.

2. The roads and pathways where we are working are not accessible by most vehicles. Following in the style of the old-fashioned horseback “circuit riders”, we travel by motorcycle to various locations to conduct Sunday Schools.

3. A Circuit is made up of 6 Sunday schools that are taught each week.

4. Sunday school begins each week with an opening prayer, announcements, singing, Bible lesson, offering, craft and then playing games.

5. Our material was donated by a man who was formally with the Canadian Sunday School Mission. He has a complete set of Sunday School lessons he has written and burned on CD that he has provided free to MSSM. MSSM has purchased a copier to print out the material for distribution in the countries where Circuits are running.

6. There are TWO ways to sponsor a Circuit.

  • Commitment to $79 a month
  • Perpetual one-time gift of $12,000. The money is invested in church loans and the Circuit is run on the interest.

7. The Sunday school teachers (Circuit Riders) are graduates of our national Bible schools. Each Circuit Rider makes a three year commitment to the MSSM ministry.

8. YES, contact our office for how you can do just that.

9. The Lesson is a concept trike that we purchased to raise funds and awareness of the ministry. The Lesson is available for booking. Call the office for more information.

10. NO, in fact we are opening up a boat Sunday school circuit in Brazil this fall. Future plans include circuits at many of our bases worldwide.
